Strike from the Hand

The core hurling strike — tossing the sliotar up and striking it from the hand for distance and accuracy.

Toss the ball up a tiny bit, swing your hurley, and smack it out of the air with the flat side!

Drop-toss the ball slightly in front — not too high.

Step onto the front foot as you strike.

Strike with the full flat of the hurley.
