The Solo Run

Balancing the sliotar on the bas of the hurley while moving — the foundation skill for carrying the ball in hurling.

How to do it

Rest the ball on the wide part of your hurley and tip-toe run so it doesn't fall off — like carrying an egg on a spoon!

For Parents & Coaches

01

Bas flat

Keep the flat of the hurley level so the ball sits, not rolls.

02

Short steps

Small, quick steps keep the hurley steady.

03

Head up

Look forward, not down at the ball.
