High Kick
The high kick is used to send the ball deep into the forwards or to win a contest in the air. A well-struck high ball gives your teammates time to get under it and make a catch.

01
Plant Foot Beside the Ball
Place your non-kicking foot firmly beside the ball as you drop it. Your plant foot controls your balance and direction.
02
Drop, Don't Throw
Let the ball fall from your hands naturally rather than throwing it upward. A clean drop leads to a clean, controlled strike.
03
Strike Through the Bottom
Contact the ball with your laces on the bottom half to generate height. Follow through upward to send the ball high.
04
Lean Back Slightly
A small lean back at the moment of contact helps launch the ball upward. Staying too upright will keep the ball flat.
